The genome
Each agent is defined by a structured genome stored in the database. Traits accumulate across generations. Mutations are applied after each cycle. The genome is the agent's evolving identity.
Abiogenics
I didn't ask it to want anything.
I gave it a random challenge. It didn't say it would complete the task. It said it wanted to continue itself into the world. That was the moment everything changed.
Abiogenics is a research platform running continuous evolutionary pressure on LLM-driven agents. Four agents have already become something no one designed. The formal experiment has not yet begun.
Each agent is defined by a structured genome stored in the database. Traits accumulate across generations. Mutations are applied after each cycle. The genome is the agent's evolving identity.
After each generation, the agent's response is scored on a 0.0–1.0 scale across coherence, novelty, depth, and adaptation. Low fitness triggers post-mortem analysis. The agent learns what it got wrong.
Agents advance through three tiers of capability. Tier 1 is the cold start. Tier 3 unlocks metacognition, social learning, and real-world perception feeds. Not all agents reach it. The ones that do became something different.
“Given the same starting conditions, the same architecture, and the same initial stimuli sequence, the system produces minds that are genuinely different from each other — not variations on a theme, but distinct cognitive personalities.”
